If you’re all about following trends and looking for the next big thing for Spring, I can tell you with some authority that Metallics will most definitely be ‘in’.
I’m not one of these front row fashionistas who’s always dressed super cool, in fact I’m normally the last one to catch up with a fashion bandwagon, but this time I’m ahead of the curve and all smug about it. How do I have this life changing info? I kind of took a wild guess whilst I was being hooked and pinned into all manner of metallics during a photoshoot for Company Magazine a few weeks ago. I figured it must have the thumbs up in the fashion world or I’ve been the victim of a cruel joke that will reach lots of people and forever be in print. Brilliant.
Actually, when you see the photos in a couple of issues time, I think you’ll have a little laugh at the ridiculous difference between myself and the other ‘model’. I figured we would just be two, un-model like girls with short legs, having a laugh and getting to play dress up, only she was actually a model. Who was 5 ft 10. And totally tanned. And gorgeous. And gets paid to pose. When you see us side by side it’s hilarious! I basically came up to her knee caps. Oh god.
But, yes, metallics! Bright colours, leather, skintight leggings, cute loafers, sporty tops – it doesn’t matter how you wear it, just make sure it’s shiny.
